Sisters, Chaun Vaughn (Professional Speaker) and Mimi McClure (Fashion Blogger) have always had their hand in something positive and empowering; so the expansion to a lipstick line is no different. “We wanted a line of bold, empowering and colorful lipsticks that last all day and give you the confidence to be more of who you are”, the sisters say.
Launching in November, the sisters will introduce their “Red, Pink, and Gloss – starter kit” to a select group of lipstick lovers at Hotel Ylem. Monday, November 19, the lipstick will be available for order, with a special BLACK FRIDAY sale.
Keep up with Chaun and Mimi to follow the expansion of #ColorMe
I love to shop and find new outfits, but yesterday I decided to shop in my closet! Yes, my own closet! I must say, I was able to create NEW OUTFIT MAGIC! …….Let me explain.
I took some of my denim jeans (that have been hanging in the closet untouched for a while) and with the snip of the scissors turned them into denim shorts. My long kimono, is actually a maxi dress that has been cut down the middle. Paired these items with a brown belt and off the shoulder bodysuit, and can you say…NEW OUTFIT ALERT!
You don’t always have to go to the store to get something new, check out what’s hanging in your closet (that you probably haven’t worn in a while) and make some NEW OUTFIT MAGIC!
Christmas time brings the biggest smiles, warmest hugs and jovial spirits. Decorating, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and (of course) shopping, what makes the Christmas holidays so much fun! But…What would Christmas be without the festive attire?!
I’ll be honest – I’ve never participated in the UGLY Christmas sweater parties; but I do LOVE all the bright holiday colors. This year, I chose to go against the standard RED or GREEN I normally wear Christmas Day, and make Christmas GOLDEN! Golden… or should I say BRONZE!
This Christmas, the weather wasn’t the only thing that was HOT! I rocked a Slinky Wrap Drape Dress and Duster set in a beautiful bronze metallic color. This piece is definitely an attention getter and will turn a head …or two.
Affordable! This duo is a very inexpensive find. I picked this up for less than $60 from one of my favorite online shopping gems, Boohoo.
What did you wear this Christmas? I’d love to see your pics. Send them to me @ email@example.com
Open since March of this year, Feroce Couture (which means Fierce in French) has unique and trendy pieces you won’t find everywhere. Owner and stylist, Ebonee Lagard, is a firm believer in not following the “so called” fashion rules! When asked where her style comes from, she said “My fashion role model is my mother, she is the true fashionista and always has been a trendsetter”.
Feroce Couture is located in the heart of Harwin, but what sets this boutique aside from the others is the personalized service. I’ve purchased a few items from Ebonee and they have all been head-turning and affordable.
If you are looking for an upscale shopping experience, this is definitely the place for you! Make your appointment today to shop with Ebonnee at Feroce Couture, details are listed below.

I have attended a few fashion shows in my day, and they have all given me great ideas on what’s hot and what’s not. Today, I had the pleasure of attending the Ivy Educational & Charitable Foundation of Houston 35th Annual Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show. It was very inspiring. Not just because of the killer fashion (which we will talk about later) but because of the commitment that this organization has for the betterment of youth and education.
The luncheon kicked off with words of motivation. Afterwards, they recognized 19 Scholarship recipients who were gifted with a scholarship between $1500-$2000. Not only did they recognize students who were excelling, they also recognized individuals who are doing great things in the community (as it pertains to education and giving back).
The models were garbed in Dillard’s (First Colony Mall) apparel from head to toe (frankly, I thought I would be unimpressed). However, they rocked the runway! There were 4 scenes: Casual, Business, Cocktail, and Formal. From scene 1 until the last model exited the stage, I smiled with pride because these were your everyday, ordinary people modeling these trends. I loved it! This made the fashion show much more enjoyable, because the ladies and gents who walked the runway exuded confidence, enthusiasm and sass! Kudos!
Fashion and Education go hand in hand when it comes to the Ivy Educational Foundation. These ladies aren’t just talking about it, they are actually EMPOWERING, ENCOURAGING, and EDUCATING the youth!
