Social Media Association of Houston, the leading organization for all things trending in the digital arena; hosted their August workshop at the innovative and trendy XFINITY store by Comcast in Westheimer Crossing. This association provides business owners, social influencers and others a space where they can come together and learn how to navigate the social media and communications highway.
Their August workshop, “Crisis Communication: Write Your Plan Now!” was designed to help businesses put a usable crisis plan in place.
The evening kicked off with greetings from Comcast Houston Director of Retail Stores, Travis Toliver. Toliver spoke about XFINITY products and services that may be beneficial to the group as social influencers.
“The connection we have with Comcast is very special, and to have them offer space for us to conduct our workshop and educate our members reflects their commitment to giving back” said Rebecca Council, Founder of Social Media Association of Houston.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn from industry expert Michael Bybee, Director of External Communications, Comcast Houston; and formulate a plan to protect their brand reputation during any crisis. Bybee shared valuable “Crisis communications tips” and engaged in a Q&A with participants at the end of the evening.
